# Lightyear API

> The Lightyear API is a REST API for programmatic access to your Lightyear account: team info and users,
> services, locations, contracts, projects, tickets, action items, provider invoices, and consolidated bills.
> Every endpoint is served under `https://api.lightyear.ai/developer/` and described by a single OpenAPI 3.1 document.

The interactive documentation at https://api.lightyear.ai/developer/docs is rendered client-side with JavaScript, so agents and crawlers should read the
OpenAPI document instead. Its `info.description` field contains the full authentication and webhooks
guides as Markdown.

Authentication uses either OAuth 2.0 client credentials (request a bearer token from
`POST https://api.lightyear.ai/developer/oauth/token`, then send `Authorization: Bearer <access_token>`) or per-request HMAC
signatures. API keys are created from the [API settings page](https://app.lightyear.ai/dashboard/settings/api) in the Lightyear dashboard.
